On
Wednesday 15th February, all the pupils in Year Four celebrated
Chinese New Year.
We
started the day by watching some clips of children celebrating Chinese New
Year. We found out about the decorations, food, clothes, dancing and gifts.
Next,
we made Chinese lanterns and decorated them. We even counted in mandarin and
did some writing.
We
ended the morning by singing Chinese songs and doing the actions.
In
the afternoon, we ate lots of delicious Chinese food. There was plenty for
everyone! We sang more songs and then went into the hall to watch a video of
Chinese children doing their daily exercises in school. We tried to copy their
movements. It was a lot of fun!
We
would like to thank Mrs Woo for helping to organise such a fun learning
experience for us.
